Seclusion - Unforgettable Secluded Cabin with Hot Tub and Maximum Privacy for up to Four People

Property Description

Three miles from downtown Helen, but feels like this two-bedroom rustic cabin is totally isolated. Property is located in deep rhododendron forest near end of private road, and adjoins almost 9,000 acres of the Chattahoochee National Forest for maximum privacy. Spa area of deck is covered, deck totally secure from prying eyes. A well-accommodated full bath serves each bedroom. Guests enjoy the comfortable downstairs queen bed with full bath, while upstairs guests occupy the king (master) bedroom. Enjoy finest relaxation and privacy, but remember that numerous activities abound in Unicoi State Park (fishing in hundreds of miles of well-stocked area trout streams, beach, lake, boating, stunning Anna Ruby Falls farther up in national forest) and nearby Bavarian-themed Alpine Helen (great restaurants, shopping, tourist attractions, river tubing, golfing, canoeing and kayaking, horseback riding, etc). For the more adventurous, numerous walking trails are in the area, including the nearby segment of the famous Appalachian Trail, which crosses Highway 75/17 at Unicoi Gap a few miles from the cabin.
The lodging features two bedrooms, the upstairs master bedroom with king, plus downstairs bedroom with queen bed for a second couple, or for children (in any event, occupation is limited to a total of 4 people in the cabin). In summer, spring, and fall, enjoy total seclusion both in the cabin and on the private deck out back, complete with roofed hot tub, and enjoy the view of the dense forest and the nearby mountains, which includes an awesome display of fall colors peaking out in October. In May the rhododendrons are in full bloom, creating a "bridal trail" effect as one drives up to the cabin amid a cascade of glorious natural blooms, mainly in whitish or pinkish colors. Usually the temperature is very nearly perfect, and the ambiance is almost palpable. In cooler winter months relax in front of the cozy wood burning fireplace in the great room, enjoy an occasional snowfall, and just relax with your loved one and/or other friends or family. Go out to eat at one of the fine restaurants in Helen, cook up your own fare in the well-stocked kitchen, or grill a steak on the new Weber charcoal grill on the back deck. Enjoy 65 channels of cable television in HD and big, flat screen in the great room, or a DVD player and a generous selection of quality DVDs is on hand. Smaller televisions are in each bedroom, and bring your computer and smart phone, because the cabin has excellent WiFi service throughout. It's a little bit of heaven near a place called Helen, and you won't find a more satisfying place to call home for a short time.

Cozy. Comfortable. Everthing you will need to cook a good meal for yourself. Betty's grocery is only 3 miles away. Scenes from windows change daily. Very comfortable bedrooms. I would feel safe staying in this cabin alone!

Perfect Spot!

We visited this cabin in September with my husband’s parents. They don’t get away often and this was the perfect spot for us to take them. We all really enjoyed the location of this cabin. It was tucked away in a perfect spot, out of town but yet only a few minutes from the city when we needed something. The cabin was VERY CLEAN and comfortable. It had everything we needed. It felt like home. Very relaxing and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and slept so good! This was the start of a new tradition for us and I think Seclusion will be a yearly retreat for us now. This cabin is HIGHLY recommended!!!

Reviews not up to date

I am the owner, and I write this for any potential guest who is evaluating this property for possible rental. Please note that this review section, while fairly extensive, is NOT UP TO DATE. When we stopped taking credit cards through this site, we also stopped keeping the reviews up to date, so there are numerous 5-star reviews that don't show up here. Please go to for an up-to-date listing of reviews, which now number several dozen more than show up here. Thanks.

Wonderful place to relax and unwind!

This cabin is next to perfect! It has plenty or room and is still very cozy. The hot tube is on the deck overlooking the woods and is a lovely place to warm up after hiking the incredible trails int he area. The cabin was clean and well supplied. The kitchen had all you need to cook and the pine cone trimmed dinnerware was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and the decor was just amazing. The owners had holiday decorations up and they were also a nice touch. We will be back!!
